Inspiration Arcanum
A downloadable game
“Books are like Tarot decks. They provide answers and guidance but more importantly, they are doorways and portals to the otherworld and the imagination. They leave their imprint and keep whispering to us long after we close the pages or shuffle the deck.”
― Sasha Graham, Tarot Fundamentals
Created for the 12-word RPG Jam, Inspiration Arcanum uses the evocative symbolism of your favorite Tarot deck to create a narrative prompt. Enjoy it as a solo journaling experience, to create adventure hooks or story arcs for larger campaigns, or as a way to break through writer's block.
Inspiration Arcanum relies on Major Arcana cards only, as they better embody archetypes and narrative themes. You can, of course, use the Minor Arcana if you wish.
To Play
All you need is your favorite Tarot deck (or an online Tarot reading site, such as this one at Labyrinthos), something to write with, and a bit of imagination to build on wherever the prompt takes you.

As someone who loves card-based RPGs, Inspiration Arcanum hits the sweet spot for me. I love the incorporation of tarot cards and I am partial to splitting things into three groups.
Thank you so much!
